Anchoring the global vision and purpose of SEEDS in local communities

Most of us were drawn to SEEDS because we care a lotdeeply about the future of life on planet Earth, and because we feel a calling towards regeneration. In and beyond SEEDS, this cultural movement that is inquiring how to build a regenerative and thriving civilisation is often called the Regenerative Renaissance.Renaissance, or Regenaissance. 

SEEDS, at its core, is about exploring, co-creating and gifting humanity – as steward of this amazing Earth – a diversity of tools, systems, resources, and cultures designed to joyfully co-create thriving civilizations ^[1]. 

A core purpose of Samara is to support make these tools, systems, and resources for a Regenerative Renaissance accessible and useful tofor leaders of the Regenaissance and the communities they serve, while prefiguring regenerative movement.culture in everything we are and do. AsWe aaim decentralizedto community we foster and support grassroots movements, local initiatives, indigenous communitiescommunities, and ultimately all people and groups onsharing this shared path. SamaraOur organization is heredesigned to supportbe and empower change makers and regenerators by creatingboth a supportiveservice and nurturing 'home' for SEEDS Ambassadors and leaders of the 'Regenaissance' – not only in the form of a mutually supportive communityprovider and a focuscommunity. on self-care, but also byWhile providing an integrated set of tools, resources and trainings that empower change makers to build local regenerative ecosystemsinitiatives and establish their own (regional)DHOs, DHOs.we will also foster a supportive and nurturing 'home' for these Regenaissance change makers, including SEEDS Ambassadors.

Supporting local regenerators/ approaching...

As Samara has taken root and began to grow, we have been very weary of saying 'we know the answer'.  Facing the ambitious task of supporting the birth of a new civilization, we take special care to consider how we can avoid perpetuating the same misperceptions, extractive relationships, and arrogant attitudes that have contributed to the multiple crises – or "Meta-Crisis" – our civilization currently faces. We have cautioned ourselves and each other toof bethe aware ofways the colonial mindset,mindset and processes can become embedded in service-oriented work. We work to beremain awareconscious and lovingly critical of our own and each others' perceptual lenses, our assumptions about the way things 'should be', and our individual biases that we bring to our work within Samara. biases. 

Rather than answers, we come with questions: What is a regenerative culture and civilization? How can we support existing, local solutions and regenerators?  How can we help more people adopt a regenerative and sustainable lifestyle? How can we support leaders of the movement, and help them preventavoid burnout.burnout? HowWhat tools and technologies truly serve regeneration, including various blockchain applications and associated cryptocurrencies like Seeds, and how can we help leaders adopt and adapt /these? customize the existing tools and technologies that are available?  How can we help bridge the Regenaissance - with the best tools available, including the blockchain and associated cryptocurrencies?  How can we help SEEDS Ambassadors become better collaborative leaders of the Regenaissance, locally and globally? 

And at the same time, we believe wonderful and inspiring solutions to many of the problems that we face do exist! There are clear and practical ways to reverse man-made climate change. There are fast and effective ways to restore the abundance and diversity of our most damaged ecosystems. There are tried and tested ways of healing our illnesses via natural methods.  Many ways to regenerate our planet and our way of life here exist. Our task in Samara is to identify those solutions and make them available to our local communities, wherever we may be. (I feel this is too broad. I don't think it is our task to identify solutions. I feel it is our task to support those that have found solutions- FV) Our task is to inviteinquire deeply into the peopleneeds and desires of regenerative leaders, initiatives, and communities and support their efforts with appropriate mix of resources and tools through a collaborative design and testing process. We may have hypotheses about which resources and tools can be truly beneficial in certain contexts, but ultimately we cannot be certain ahead of time that compriseany thesegiven communitiesintervention towill beginproduce usingholistically Seeds, blockchain, DHOs,beneficial and everythingregenerative else that can empower their efforts.outcomes.
