The Magic Space of Samara

Samara is a space that is deeply playful and exploratory, radically open, and spiritually rewarding. We value our relationships and build everything we do on the foundations of trust, reflexivity (how we reflect) and reciprocity (how we respond).  As a Decentralized Human Organization, we put humans at the center of our decisions and as a Decentralized Holonic Organism we grow through evolutionary change.

This is about Samara becoming alive.” - Justin Joseph, Samara-Startup-Shaman

The Shamans and Elders are the real magicians of this world, peering into complexity and seeing simplicity, instead of being simple-minded and creating complication!! May we carry the wisdom of this prophetic reading and manifest the service to seeds that we are here for!

A new term for your tool-belt; 'coterie of magicians'. That's what D-HERO's need to be to navigate the magic of groups and turn challenges into little white doves (Dynamic Peace / Creative Tension Release).

coterie (n.)

"exclusive set or circle of persons who are in the habit of meeting and socializing, a clique - same origin as the word 'Click'," 1738, from French coterie "circle of acquaintances," originally an organization of peasants holding land from a feudal lord (14c.), from cotier "tenant of a cote" (see cottage).

In many myths and stories Coteries are groups of magicians who can often link minds in order to co-ordinate their magic. One magician regularly leads, directing the life force of the others before cycling to another with a different skill. The use of this magic is know as 'skilling'. We have experienced pioneering magic alongside the experience of sitting around a warm kitchen table in a 14th century cottage and sharing spells during our time birthing Samara.

Part of the exploration here has been to gain insight about the basic factors that facilitate groups to come into coherent flow. Flow is the experience of understanding and conversations where 'mind-linking' occurs. We seek out these states and particularly the factors that both enhance or block the phenomena.

This is an age-old human endeavour. We've all experienced this kind of magic. No one can deny the value in these patterns when they happen. How to foster an environment which facilitates them to occur more frequently without relying on the individuals turning up and random chance alone?

A key insight: Flow is effortless. When we are in it, it is like a blessing. Things just work. The skills, tools and processes we are developing are needed to create the right environment and to be able to respond when the flow stops, disappears or sensing detects a misalignment. This falling out of flow is where both the work and the opportunity are. Numerous perspectives on human habit building and patterns show that it isn't unbroken consistency that builds resilience and best practice, but how quickly an individual or group returns to the committed path that is the deciding factor in building up true consistency which takes less and less energy to maintain.

With this perspective in mind some questions we have been pondering:

How often has a misunderstanding turned into a deeper connection?

How often is a tension just a sign of a need for clarity?
